Indeed. The opening sentence of Pomenia was written for the first time over ten years ago. It’s been so long that I can’t even properly remember how long ago it was… But what I do remember and know is that sometimes you have to run away to find your way back. That’s what happened to me. All the lovely fairy-tale chatter, fairy dusting, and other Tinttu-com wonderfulness, aside from fairy tales and art, had to be paused for a moment so that we could go out and do something we hadn’t done before.
The value system of Pomenia is child-centered!
Now that Tinttu-com has become Pomenia, and the magical world trilogy has been lovingly winged into the human world, along with conjuring other magic on top of magic, it’s time to move forward with the plans made back in 2013. Initially, one might think there’s not a troll’s tail in it, because what was yesterday is no longer today. True, but I think a little differently. I believe that precisely because everything has changed, we need more of what Pomenia stands for.
Twenty years ago, I wrote that behind all the creations and designs of Fairytale Artist Petronella Grahn, there is always a child-centered approach.
This means that:

- Let the child be a creative and enthusiastic player of their own play without an adult-created ready script. (Free play)

- Fall in love with the child within you. (Oops!)
As I read through these personal values and contemplate, I realized that I couldn’t find a single good reason why I shouldn’t continue from where I left off with Tinttu-com in 2018. I feel more ready, skilled, and confident than ever before. I no longer wonder why.
But what now, what wasn’t there before?
A lot. First, we revive Tinttu-com’s hat classics as Pomenia’s fairy hats. Good and functional models don’t need changing, so let’s play with brand-new materials and theme worlds never seen before. You won’t believe how wonderful it is until you see it! There will also be terribly new and highly anticipated items FOR ADULTS! How does the delightfully fun Tinttu and Story tunic collection sound, with playfulness included? Delightful, of course. The hats are made of teddy, coral fleece, and fleece materials. The tunics are made of velour, softer than soft. All products are made in Finland.

Last spring, we made a production agreement with a major Finnish player in interior design. My huge dream came true because I’ve always wanted to bring playfulness and the world of fairy tales into interior design through beautiful, personal fairy tale images, colors, and magic. “Like a storybook on the wall!” I often say when I paint murals. Now, the same and even more can be achieved on a large scale, easily, and affordably without being an artist oneself. By combining fairy tale stickers and wallpapers, anyone can perform magic anywhere. This really sparks the imagination and sets the imagination flying. By the way, it’s amazing what can be done nowadays on paper, wood, glass, and metal. Printing and cutting technology with cutting machines has advanced tremendously over the past decade.
